Другие сочетания с r, которые дают звук [ɔ:r], также можно встретить в версии [ə:r], особенно в быстрой речи и безударном положении.
Я называю это The Paradigm of Reduction. Все в устной версии языка стремится к редукции.
are читается как [eər] или [er], в зависимости от редукции.
