(我 во 遺 юй 人 жэнь 之 чжи 心 синь 也 е 哉 цзай 沌 дунь 沌 дунь 兮 си)
(15) Простым людям [все] ясней ясного.
(俗 су 人 жэнь 昭 чжао 昭 чжао)
(16) Я, один, [будто] сбит с толку.
(我 во 獨 ду 昏 хунь 昏 хунь)
(17) Простые люди внимательны, любопытны.
(俗 су 人 жэнь 察 ча 察 ча)
(18) Я, один, безразличен и замкнут.
(我 во 獨 ду 悶 мэнь 悶 мэнь)
(19) Безмятежен… это как море.
(澹 дань兮 си 其 ци 若 жо 海 хай)
(20) Горный ветер… будто бы негде остановиться.
(飂 ляо 兮 си 若 жо 無 у 止 чжи)
(21) Толпы людей: каждый [на все] имеет причину.
(眾 чжун 人 жэнь 皆 цзе 有 ю 以 и)
(22) Я, один, что дурачок деревенский.
(而 эр 我 во 獨 ду 頑 вань 似 сы 鄙 би)
(23) Я, один, не такой как другие,
(我 во 獨 ду 異 и 於 юй 人 жэнь)
(24) И ценю [лишь] «кормление Матери».
(而 эр 貴 гуй 食 ши 母 му)
Stop learning and there will be no anxiety.
To say «yes» and to scold – how far is the one from another?
Better and worse – what is the difference between them?
Those, whom people fear, must also because of this fear others.
O neglected and empty! It has no centre.
Crowds of people are happy, oh happy,
As if they are bringing the «Great Sacrifice»
Or ascending the tower in the springtime.
I am alone [as if] at anchor,
[As if] I have not yet been given a sign,
As if an infant who [can not] yet smile.
[Like] a tired [traveller who] has nowhere to return.
Crowds of people: everyone has a surplus.
I'm alone as if I have lost everything.
My heart is the heart of a fool! It is silly, ah, so silly…
For common people, everything is clearer than clear.
I alone am as if confused.
Ordinary people are attentive and curious,
I alone am indifferent and withdrawn.
Impassive… It is [like] an ocean.
High wind… It is like having nowhere to stop.
Crowds of people: everyone has a reason and purpose.
I alone am like a stupid yokel.
I alone am different from other people.
And [for me] «feeding of Mother» is precious.

(1) «Дырка» Дэ позволяет лишь Дао правильно следовать.
(孔 кун 德 дэ 之 чжи 容 жун 唯 вэй 道 дао 是 ши 從 цун)
(2) Дао в вещах такое туманное, смутное.
(道 дао 之 чжи 物 у 唯 вэй 恍 хуан 唯 вэй 惚 ху)
(3) О смутное! О туманное! Внутри него содержатся формы.
(惚 ху 兮 си 恍 хуан 兮 си 其 ци 中 чжун 有 ю 象 сян)
(4) О туманное! О смутное! Внутри него есть субстанция.
(恍 хуан 兮 си 惚 ху 兮 си 其 ци 中 чжун 有 ю 物 у)
(5) О одинокое! О бездонное! Внутри него – Сущность.
(窈 яо 兮 си 冥 мин 兮 си 其 ци 中 чжун 有 ю 精 цзин)
(6) Эта Сущность больше чем Истина. В ее середине – Уверенность.
(其 ци 精 цзин 甚 шэнь 真 чжэнь 其 ци 中 чжун 有 ю 信 синь)
(7) С древности и поныне имена [вещей] не уходят.
(自 цзы 古 гу 及 цзи 今 цзинь 其 ци 名 мин 不 бу 去 цюй)
(8) Из-за них прямо сейчас
[Мы] на [собственном] опыте знаем множество [Сущего].
(以 и 閱 юэ 眾 чжун 甫 фу).
(9) Я, почему прямо сейчас знаю внешние проявления множества?
(吾 у 何 хэ 以 и 知 чжи 眾 чжун 甫 фу 之 чжи 狀 чжуан 哉 цзай)
(10) Из-за этого!
(以 и 此 цы)
The De-hole allows only Dao to follow correctly.
Dao in things is so foggy and vague.
O vague! O foggy! There are forms inside it.
O foggy! O vague! There is a substance inside it.
O secluded! O bottomless! There is an essence inside it.
This essence is more than the Truth.
Inside it has confidence.
From ancient times till the present
Names [of things] haven’t gone away.
With their help [we] experience the «right now Multitude».
How do I know the appearance of the «right now Multitude»?
By this.
